Nestled in the picturesque Mercedes Sur, Turrubares, the Beneficio San Gabriel stands as a beacon of family-driven coffee excellence in Costa Rica’s Zona Central. Founded in 2014 by the Trejos and Di Tolla families, this micro mill honors their firstborn, Gabriel, in its name. The Villa Sarchi variety, flourishing between 1300-1600 meters above sea level, is a unique Costa Rican gem. It’s known for its compact growth and rich lineage, offering a flavorful profile of cherry, vanilla, chocolate syrup, strawberry, candy, and citrus.
