FARM INFORMATION
The name Dhilgee, in the Oromiffa language, means “bloody red” and characterizes coffees that have characteristics of purple and red fruits and are round with a sweet aftertaste! This particular coffee comes from Danche Washing Station, which buys cherries from 742 farmers that average 1-2 hectares and are harvested at high altitudes (2000-2300 m). The cherries are picked by hand and then sorted. The skin and fruit pulp are removed and the density is determined.
The lower density (ie lower quality) will float and be removed, leaving only higher-quality coffee cherries to get the ideal result! Quite a complex coffee, floral and with a very nice aftertaste! We will find notes of hibiscus, plum, red fruits and white sugar.
