The name Dhilgee, in the Oromiffa language, means “bloody red” and characterizes coffees that have characteristics of purple and red fruits and are round with a sweet aftertaste! This particular coffee comes from Danche Washing Station, which buys cherries from 742 farmers that average 1-2 hectares and are harvested at high altitudes (2000-2300 m). The cherries are picked by hand and then sorted. The skin and fruit pulp are removed and the density is determined.
