The country of Ethiopia has the longest history around coffee! One of the main features of the Sakicha washing station is that it is located at the highest altitude of the village, at the Bule Hora place. The altitude combined with the weather characteristics show great potential for coffee production. Due to the location, many farmers can easily deliver the coffee cherries and easier to find quality coffee.
At the Sakicha station, they prepare washed and natural coffees as well as some special preparations. There is still another station in the same village that is used for special preparations, but the future plan is to merge both stations to process all the different coffee methods in one station! Things will be easier that way.
When the coffees are processed as natural!, the pickers sort the cherries upon delivery. Coffee is placed on drying tables immediately upon arrival, counting a total of 100 drying tables on site. The average time it takes for the coffees to dry is 18 days. This particular batch of coffee showed great consistency in the last samples we have collected. We can say with certainty that this is a complex coffee, with aromas of berries and tropical fruits and notes of spices and bright lemon. If you like strong coffees, this will suit you perfectly!
