Dive into the exquisite flavors of Zinule #7, a standout washed coffee from the lush district of Bulambuli, Uganda. Developed in partnership with Ibero and processed at the newly established Bulambuli Washing Station, this coffee is a testament to the region’s rich coffee heritage and potential. Named after the indigenous bird Zinule, found in the Bulambuli forest, this coffee embodies the sweet, fragrant, and intense characteristics of the area’s specialty coffee.
Cultivated at ideal altitudes for coffee production, the SL-14 and SL-28 varieties undergo a meticulous pulping, fermenting, and drying process, ensuring a cupping score of 85 with flavors of blackcurrant, cacao nibs, vanilla, purple fruit, and mandarin, finished with a slightly herbal note. Zinule #7 not only offers a unique tasting experience but also supports the sustainable development of the Bulambuli community, showcasing Uganda’s promising future in specialty coffee.
